The meeting opened at 7:13 with Dave Wellman presiding (Mike Schwisow was covering the Pack 205 bridge crossing).
        The meeting was held at the Wellman’s house because the meeting had to be moved to a Thursday so that the Patrol Leaders could meet Monday.
        The minutes were approved as printed.
        The treasurer reported a balance of $2,889.18.

        The committee dealt with a request by the Landowski’s for the troop to sell pop and hot dogs at the District Pinewood Derby.  The troop committee voted unanimously to accept the challenge.
        So far we have turned in $1835.00 to the scout office in the Friends of Scouting campaign.  We also have another $850.00 ready to be turned in.  The gold level is $3100.00, so we are getting close.
        The troop committee nominated Theresa Riness and Topi Hakkarainen as our adult nominations for Order of the Arrow.

The next meeting will be March 25, 2002 at the church.

     The next Court of Honor, February 6, 2002, will be a Pizza potluck.  We will be presenting the Friends of Scouting material, and the boys    will have their OA election.
    There was a discussion of several items important to the troop.  One was the fact that many of the boys are behind in paying dues.  We were reminded that to advance in rank, dues must be current.  The suggestion was made that parents of incoming scouts should be advised that dues are 50 cents per week, and that they are due whether the scout attends the meeting or not.
    Further discussion led to a motion: in the case of scouts who are seriously behind in their dues, the troop may use their family camping accounts to pay their dues.  The motion was seconded and passed.
